exams, meals, sports meets and friends

And every day, in the Temple and from house to house, they continued to teach and preach this message: “Jesus is the Messiah.” Acts 5:42

It has been a overflowing three weeks... Krista in the US and Preston in the classroom. On the US side of the globe, Krista enjoyed fellowshipping and sharing with friends in California, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Thanks everyone for your encouragement and love. We are thankful that we have been able to connect with many of you in person and for those who we didn't see... we are grateful for being able to talk online!

In the classroom, Pres managed to collect 140 videos from his 600 students... and also walk them through their oral exams. They did a great job! (and so did teacher Pres - he's alive and peaceful.) The students in some classes gave 5- to 7-minute story/speeches and in others they taught 5 words to each other, using actions, sentences and love (hopefully!) for 5 minutes each. For their final projects, groups of students (2 to 5 members, depending on class level) chose one letter of the alphabet to teach. They were required to put together a 3- to 4-minute video that introduced the sounds of their "letter" using 8 words, sentences and song. Some of them were so entertaining. After we have reviewed them... and are up for air, we hope we can share one or two! The students have worked hard and they are proud of their accomplishments. Praise God for His provision and motivation for the students.

Pres also got to join the sports meet the week before last. Our friend and Chinese teacher, Linda, told Pres to wear sports gear. He did... even for the opening ceremony. :) Thanks for all the prayers and encouragement and love. This term has gone well. Only one more week, then we are off to Qinghai for another training with ESEC!

Here's a few of our US adventures in photos.
