“They are constantly in my thoughts. I
cannot stop thinking about your mighty works.” Psalm 77:12
Merry Christmas! We’ve finalized the 90th lesson/activity for the book project that we began in late June 2014. Praise God for His provision and His creative ideas. We are thankful for all the people who contributed to this project – more than 30 people provided lessons and helped edited. We could not have done it without such an enormous and loving team effort. Pictured are some of the people who put in a lot of effort and prayer to make it possible! Thanks! It was a challenge at times to keep pushing it forward, even as other projects and priorities cropped up. But God is always good – and the translation of the lessons is underway! Yay! The book’s publisher would like to print in January 2015 and hold some demonstration training classes.

In other news, we visited a preschool education college in the Northeast to see about developing a partnership with them. We are currently wrapping up the latest ESEC Teacher Certification Program and our host organization is focusing more on the monthly TIP trainings that are more and more often “on the road” for 21 days at a time. We also have been told that March through June may be very slim as far as work in the Yuan Ming Yuan campus (where we live), so we have been praying about other opportunities to serve and share that might come along.
We have been presented with this open door and are currently in negotiations with the director to teach and train at the college. There are no English-speaking foreigners in the college or surrounding community and the school and its staff are very warm and welcoming. We will continue to see how our Father leads in this area as the contract gets developed and the details on transferring (visa, work permit, etc) to a new city are tackled. We will still remain volunteers with ESEC. We just might live in another city and learn some new ways of living and sharing in this place we call home. We’ll keep you posted as moving will be quite crazy, we are sure.

It’s Christmas week and we have been blessed to see Father God at work in so many ways. Our friends at English study and work are all growing, going and sharing. While we all have our challen ges, it’s wonderful to be able to deal with the situations that come our way as a family and to walk through the dark times and the light times together. May this season of holiness be a blessing for you and those you meet.
