thankful hearts

We are thankful that Pres got to lead a class for a few days this session, just before we headed out for our next training in Qinghai. TIP decided to hold three programs simultaneously, so we stepped in to help as best we could.

Class A is able, awesome and always amazing. They were a lot of fun to encourage! They got pretty attached in a couple of days and told Pres that they didn't want him to leave... Ivy said, "I hope one day I can become the respected teacher like you!"

Pres enjoyed guiding them through some "buying and selling" activities, which they really enjoyed. And he also had them do some more challenging "word choice" activities that made their brains tired. But they all survived; and we did too.

We've been busy with the usually things - curriculum and lesson writing and meeting and sharing with friends and neighbors. We've met both new friends and old, as usual, and have been blessed by our exchanges. It's getting colder in Beijing and winter nights are longer than the days. But no snow yet.

We are looking forward to the Christmas season, as lights and trees are already up in the city. We are spending Thanksgiving week in Qinghai (where there is snow!) with the teachers - traveling to 10 or so schools and watching as many classes as we can fit in. Lots of car rides and eating hunks of meat and long or short noodles in our future this week. We are blessed and praying that we can show our smile everyday. :) God is good!
